Five phases. One advisor. Lower costs, every year.
Most providers disappear after onboarding. Our methodology is designed for the opposite: to stay accountable across years of renewals, audits, and disputes — when the value of a good advisor actually shows up.
- 01Days 1–3
Diagnose
Five-minute assessment plus a 30-minute discovery call. We gather class codes, current loss runs (2–4 years), payroll provider, benefits package and renewal date, headcount by state, and — most importantly — the business pain you're actually trying to solve.
Deliverables
- Discovery summary in writing
- Data request list (loss runs, current invoices, plan documents)
- Engagement letter with our compensation disclosed
- 02Days 4–10
Model
We build normalized cost-and-service models across PEO, ASO, and standalone programs. Every option is priced on the same plan design, the same admin assumptions, and the same renewal trajectory. No vendor-supplied marketing math.
Deliverables
- Side-by-side cost models (3–5 viable options)
- Service-level benchmarking
- Risk and trade-off summary for each option
- 03Days 10–14
Recommend
A clear recommendation in writing, the runners-up, and the reasoning. We walk the recommendation through with you (and your CFO, board, or operating partner if helpful). You make the call.
Deliverables
- Written recommendation memo
- Decision-ready summary for executive review
- Calendar of next-step decisions
- 04Weeks 2–8
Implement
Once you decide, we manage the handoff. Configuration calls, plan-document review, payroll cutover, benefits enrollment, employee communication — we sit on the calls and own the punch list with the provider.
Deliverables
- Implementation project plan with owners and dates
- Pre-launch validation of first payroll and first enrollment
- Employee communication template
- 05Ongoing — every renewal
Defend
We monitor renewals, dispute incorrect class codes, attend year-end audits, re-quote on a defined cadence, and serve as the single point of contact for everything that touches your back office. One phone number, every year.
Deliverables
- Quarterly review touchpoints
- Annual class-code and mod audit
- Renewal modeling 90+ days before each anniversary
For most engagements, nothing — and we tell you when it's something.
We're compensated by the providers our clients ultimately select, and we disclose those arrangements in writing before any recommendation. For fractional HR, project-based operations work, and fiduciary 401(k) reviews, we quote flat fees in advance.

Take the five-minute assessment. We'll model your options across 20+ providers and show you what a better-fit program looks like — with no pressure to switch.
